The Women by Kristin Hannah

4.0

This is a tale of a woman, forced to grow up too quickly, and as a victim of societal niceties and systemic sexism, and of so much more.

While this tale offers what I feel could be an honest look at serving in an armed forces, during a war … I feel it also leaves a lot out, as this female lead is still relatively very privileged. Still, I feel it’s an important read.

It manages to be interesting while being slow-paced, something I’m learning Hannah is great at.

Absolutely perfect.
