Tender Is the Flesh by Agustina Bazterrica

3.75

This rating was a tough one for me. I almost gave it 4 stars but I went with 3.75 stars because I felt like the plot of the book took a while to become apparent. I was thinking "Where is this book going to go, it seems so random" and I was about 60% in when I finally thought "Ok, I think I can understand the purpose of the book now". That being said, the first 60% was enjoyable to read. It gave a lot of interesting background into the world and I liked how even though some events seemed a little bit random, they all clearly connected to the same theme and progress of the book. I also enjoyed the writing of the book and how the story was told. Overall, this was a good read if you like dark dystopian type books.
