I had a lot of fun with book 2 in this series. It had been a while since I read the first book but all of the main characters gradually came back to me, as did the humour threaded throughout. It had the perfect combination of adventure, backstory/mythology, and treachery to keep me easily engaged, and also learning more about the mythology side of things.

I loved the feature of Hermes being a delivery person, and the hippocampi (clever word play), but most of all I have to mention Tyson. I fell in love with him immediately and he lived up to all my hopes, acting as the perfect comedic break and skin-saver too many times to count - honestly he was just great.

I really enjoy these books as breaks between heavier reads, but they are equally enjoyable so I look forward to the next instalment in the series at some point soon!
