I had a very hard time getting into this book. There were some inconsistencies with the world building from the first book and a lot got added at a very rapid pace.

I do however appreciate the underlying themes in this book. The message is a good one, although I do think it could have been brought across better. My biggest annoyance in this book is how readily everyone accepts and supports Deka in anything she discovers. Her friends and allies believe anything she says and are readily available to do whatever she needs. A lot happens and those things aren’t explained a lot of the time, we just have to accept that is how they are and how it goes. It would have liked more depth in that department.
