The ideas in this book are fun and compelling, but the organization and telling of it are a straight up mess. Emilia wildly jumps to conclusions leaving the reader in the dust. The characterization for all the characters is inconsistent and confusing. Emilia's reactions and emotions fluctuate confusingly between extremes. Who she chooses to trust and distrust seems random and illogical and feels like the author is just trying to force along the plot. Finally, I'm not even sure what the mystery being solved even is anymore.
