The Adventures of Charls, the Veretian Cloth Merchant by C.S. Pacat
5.0
I foolishly put off reading this. Originally I thought it'd be much as the title said and the mention of Damen and Laurent would be sparse. I WAS WRONG. SO SO SO SO SOOO WRONG.
To sum it up, our boys go out once again as Cousin Charls and Lamen and tag a long with Charls on his trade route. As this goes on Laurent and Damen are actually on a mission, Charls doesn't know "Lamen" is really the King, and basically a whole lot of hilariousness ensues with that.
Charls gifts us with an outside perspective in his honest and innocence and it's so much fun. Plus hello to Damen's dimple, I don't think Laurent has mentioned you?! AND AND AND!!! We get to witness Laurent being crowned. "King Laurent of Vere", oh I tell you I have lived all this time for this exact moment.
If it couldn't get any better, there were little tid bits tossed in for us fans. Inside jokes that stem out of the first and second books. So in all this was a whole lot of fun and enjoyment. Shame on me for waiting so long.
