The Thirteenth Tale by Diane Setterfield
5.0
This was an excellent gothic romance with a present day narrator that was (thankfully) trustworthy. It reminded me a lot of Daphne duMaurier for some reason that I can't quite pinpoint. I enjoyed the many references to reading good literature. The love of books just oozes throughout the story. Everyone has a story and I loved reading the many stories that are revealed throughout.
This book felt like a rich dessert. I am sad to be finished.
