I've been a fan of Susi Hawke's books for years now. Although I really enjoyed this one, too, somehow I couldn't really connect with the characters. Preston was just too much of a rebel for my liking, crossing that little grey line. And the pacing was just a bit off towards the end. It could have done with a few more pages, a bit more development.
All in all, I do look forward to reading the rest of the series
