Horrorstör by Grady Hendrix
3.0
(the lower kind of 3 stars)
the concept of this book is really cool but for something labeled as “horror-comedy” this didn’t read as neither horror nor comedy. horrorstör felt more weird than actually scary and i didn’t laugh once.
i didn’t connect with any of the characters even after knowing their motivations/life situations, which happens to me with horror books but usually i still care for them, something that didn’t happen at any point in this story.
the characters were fine and the concept was unique but everything just felt kind of flat.
i’d still recommend it if you’re looking for something different, cool and quick to read
