The Country of the Blind: A Memoir at the End of Sight by Andrew Leland
4.0
Enjoyed this well-written, fascinating and surprisingly witty memoir about a journalist becoming blind. (He prefers that to “losing his sight.”) My library book group chose this memoir, and I was glad to step outside my usual genres. Lots of food for thought & pointed reflections on ableism. Recommend it.
