Omnihumans: Within A Concrete Labyrinth by Tom Leveen
5.0
What I Didn’t Like:
-Slightly slow start. Of course, I’ll argue this is done because you have to be immersed in the world and that takes a beat.
-Both important characters start with an M. Took me a second to keep them straight.
What I Did Like:
-Special abilities explored in interesting ways. Think X-Men, that’s what this is like. It’s interesting and intriguing to read about the ways these special abilities manifest.
-Well written action. The fight sequences are easy to picture and intense. Love them!
-Characters I cared about. I need more backstory for Malakai and I need to know what happens next for Manic. These two are amazingly well written.
The Verdict: 5 Stars. Action fans and sci-fi fans will love this one. It’s fast paced and definitely leaves me wanting more from the series.
