I was pleasantly taken aback by how much I enjoyed this book, particularly the complexity of the characters, Harlow and Benito. Both of them kept me on my toes, as their actions were unpredictable, adding an element of intrigue to the story.
Harlow, in particular, has become one of my favourite characters in recent books. His tendency to hide knives and the constant uncertainty about his level of armament made him fascinating. How his struggles were portrayed allowed me to understand and connect with him more deeply. Witnessing his growth and progress throughout the book was truly satisfying, and by the end, it was heartwarming to see how much he had improved.
