This was a rollercoaster from start to finish. After her ex fiancée Cheats on her, Dani is at a low point and in order to get revenge, she starts to build a mini house next door to the ex. She gets help from the mean guy in the office, Wyatt, however they end up forming a connection throughout the process of building. Wyatt also has a lot more to him than meets the eye and it was refreshing to see a male main character suffer with real life altering issues. However there are so many moments of miscommunication and Dani just assuming the absolute worse of Wyatt, when all she needed to do was ask. Also they don’t communicate well, like at all. Although this gets resolved, there were so many moments when i just wanted to tell the characters “omg just say y’all actually like each other” because that’s all they needed to do to avoid conflict! However there is also a little mystery and crime in this book which made it fun and added a little something to the romance story. Even with the frustration of the miscommunication, this was so much fun.
