Black Order by James Rollins
4.0
I really liked this book. I mean most of the content was bullshit but it was interesting and exciting and I wanted to find out what happened. The only thing that really irritated me through the whole thing was the British character's use of slang and actually their use of language in general. I mean, talk to a British person please. Don't just throw in the odd iteration of bollocks (which you spelled incorrectly) and consider it a job done.
Other than this I enjoyed it, this book is basically a romp through all the stereotypes you've ever encountered turned up to eleven. To be fair though, you haven't picked up a book like this to be wowed with intellectual discourse and cultural exploration. This book is the equivalent of an action movie; you want explosions and gore and peril and you get them. Now let's move on to the next one.
