For someone who never worked in the service industry I sure do love books and shows and movies about people who work in the service industry.
That being said I unfortunately related to this book in the other way one wouldn’t wish to. Service does an excellent job of shedding what it’s like to work in a place where boundaries never exist, especially for the men in charge. I very much appreciated the style of storytelling among the 3 main characters who are the chef, his wife, and Hannah, the survivor of the chef’s sexual assault. It was very interesting and felt realistic to be in each of their heads as they reminisced on the past and present leading up to the chef’s trial.
