Heir of Fire by Sarah J. Maas
5.0
I really enjoyed this book in the series. I loved seeing the process of Calaena learning her to control her powers and learn more about herself, magic, and what was going on outside of Adarlan. I can see where the relationship between her and Rowan is heading, and though my Calaean/Chaol heart hurts to see it, I think it's going to make a fantastic storyline if it continues to pan out.
At the beginning of the book, I didn't particularly enjoy Manon's side-plot. The witches freak me out. Period. BUT, I found myself totally into her relationship with Abraxos. And found myself rooting for them. Didn't see that coming.
It's a solid series that really sucks you in and I think this particular book in the series showcases that.
