Liam DiCosimo and Corvin King are my two favorite narrators, and them doing this audiobook was absolutely straight fire. Definitely gonna be a repeat read.

I absolutely ate this book up. It had all the tropes I love: hurt/comfort, grumpy/sunshine, age gap, enemies-to-lovers, “touch him and die”. The prologue gripped me and pulled me right in, and made me fall for poor baby Ezra.

I adored both Ezra and Cain. Two boys broken in totally different ways and finding healing in each other. The push and pull and tension in the beginning was hot, but then the sweetness that came from Cain falling for Ezra. Love when a jaded man becomes soft for only one person. Plus all the “baby”s and “beautiful boy”s ruined me.

This is a dark book with a lot of triggering themes. But the relationship between the MMC’s was relatively angst-free which balanced that darkness well. And the plot kept me on my toes the whole time. I think my heart actually stopped when Mason showed up. So many twists and turns!

BUT THE SIDE CHARACTERS. Jakey. Rev. Salem. Cain’s brothers. They added so much to this story. Please let there be a book about Rev eventually. Love me a psychopath romance. And he was such a good friend to Ezra.

Do I recommend this book? YES. YES YES YES. And in Spanish: Sí.

P.S. The proposal? Might be the cutest ever.

P.P.S. Thanks again to Sharee for gifting me this audiobook! It was even better than I could’ve hoped.
