The quality of the audiobook was a 5⭐ and might have boosted my enjoyment of the story overall. There was definitely a lot about this that I really enjoyed and had fun with. There were also a lot of tropes, plot devices, and characterizations that felt incredibly overplayed and tired. But again, some of those are things that I enjoy regardless of how many times I read them, I just found it to be particularly dense with slightly overused ideas.
