📝 Alternating 3rd Person POV, Alternating Past & Present; Available on Kindle Unlimited

This was such a unique story, especially for a debut. This book did a great job of blending history with paranormal, and I enjoyed the take on light vs dark, good vs evil vibes to it. The use of alternating between Nora’s POV in the present and Xander’s POV in the past was an interesting choice, one that worked out really well for the storyline. I found myself instantly drawn to Xander’s POV and the insight into the secret society that he offered.

It took me a little while to warm up to Nora’s personality, but she eventually grow on me. I also found there to be a couple plot points that felt a bit clunky, they just felt a bit off when it came to the overall storyline.

I was left with some unanswered questions (mostly about Eteria), although I’m hoping that more light will be shed them in the next book.
