The Only Plane in the Sky: An Oral History of 9/11 by Garrett M. Graff
5.0
The humanity in this book comes alive with so many different perspectives from that pivotal day in history. It is so good on audio, as there are real speech excerpts and - most chilling - the actual calls from passengers/crew inside the hijacked planes trying to get help. There are such a wide swath of perspectives, including senators, presidential aides, kids from the time, survivors, rescuers, etc. It gives such a telling account from the day that you couldn't get from watching the news coverage alone.
