Holy shit. Hang on. Wait. Wait. Hang on. HANG ON.

THAT ENDING. I’ve just been staring into space, completely dissociated for 10 minutes now. I just—

Wow.

This book is the perfect mixture of mystery, thriller, and romance. It’s not too heavy on any one of them in particular. I love mysteries, but grow frustrated if the book takes too long to reveal anything. This book does NOT have that problem. There are the perfect amount of breadcrumbs to follow to keep you completely hooked. The romance is also really wholesome.

And the characters, man. THE CHARACTERS. Each of them kept me guessing and none of them felt like caricatures.

I wish I could talk more about the plot, but it’s really impossible to do without spoilers. JUST KNOW THAT EVEN IF YOU RECOGNIZE THE THING, THE THING STILL KEEPS YOU ON THE EDGE OF YOUR SEAT. It does. It really, REALLY DOES.

WHY DOESN’T THIS HAVE A SEQUEL? WHY GOD WHY. I’m not ready to leave these characters yet. I already miss them.
