The writing doesn't work for me. Usually I like lyrical, descriptive writing but in this book it feels tacky and doesn't suit the plot. Btw where is the plot anyway? The premise is great but Schwab's execution is boring and uninspired. I've read other reviews and, based on them, it won't get any better after the 30% mark. Addie is so boring and bland. Idc about all the people she hooked up with. Idc about Henry. I do not want a romance, I want an adventure.
