This was touching and heartbreaking. It was not just a story of Ruth's work with HIV/AIDS but Ruth's memoir which included her work with HIV/AIDS. I think this added authenticity and context to her work. If you are looking for the men's stories you may be disappointed this is Ruth's story. I loved that it included Ruth's fears and own doubts, she was not perfect just trying to do the right thing. This is not a 5 star for me just due to heavy writing about religion (I understand this was an important part of Ruth's life) just is not something I enjoy reading about.
