okay so it’s no surprise that i absolutely HATE the surprise pregnancy trope. i definitely thought about not picking this book up because of it, but given that i knew that it was going to happen beforehand helped (cause i hate when it’s actually a surprise pregnancy to the character and the reader). and you know what also helped? THEO. FUCKING. SILVA.

my god the chemistry between winter and theo was fucking electirc! the way they went back and forth, pushing each other to the edge - perfection.

theo is also just genuine such an incredible character. the way he showed up for winter, made her feel loved and safe and was a true partner for her. i literally could cry just thinking about how amazing he was. the way he told her he wanted to be the man who deserved her?? PLSSSSS. because not this man booking her a manicure and massage while he CLEANED HER ENTIRE HOUSE. the way he defended her so fiercely??? UGHHH. like he is the new STANDARD. the BLUEPRINT.

and honestly, i’ve always liked winter. she was cold but i knew it was for a reason. she’s an honest, no bullshit and headstrong kind of woman that i respect. i admired her constantly trying to do uncomfortable things to grow and fix her relationships and friendships. she supports theo and his career, never wanting to hold him back from doing what he loves. and she did NOT allow a third act breakup to happen. she went and got her man like a BAD BITCH. she was iconic!
