I liked the first book best. It was like a police procedural with “special circumstances.” The next two books were just stories about the end of the world. Especially this book, the third one. The journey was odd. Like two steps forward and one step back. It felt like it dragged. Endless. I’m glad I finished the full series but the first book was the most interesting to me.
