The beginning was really interesting and the end was very emotional and impactful However I found it dragged in the middle. The writing was engaging and easy to enjoy when there was plot. But I think it was trying too hard to be too many things, suspense, thriller, YA contemporary, mystery, romance, sad LGBT back story, grief, stalking. I think it should have narrowed it down and concentrated more on character development and fewer plot points, fewer twists to add more depth.
