Flowers for Algernon by Daniel Keyes

emotional fast-paced
  • Strong character development? It's complicated
  • Flaws of characters a main focus? Yes

The amount of heartbreak I felt reading this…. Growing up with my sister being handicapped, there were many times I had difficulty reading Charlie’s story.

I tandem read the audiobook and ebook. I recommend including a printed version in your read, as the way Keyes writes Charlie’s journal entries is part of the story, and was very well done.
