The Lost World by Michael Crichton

3.0

Three stars is generous for this book. It's full of lazy writing, tired tropes, and uncreative characters. This book was clearly forced out in quick succession to the prequel at the behest of commercial powers at be, and it's not particularly good at hiding it. Read The Andromeda Strain, Micro, or A Case of Need; don't waste your time with this one. Just watch the movie adaptation. Even prions, my beloveds, can't make me like it. All that being said, it still outranks some of the stuff I read in the past so three stars instead of one or two.
