Delilah Green Doesn't Care by Ashley Herring Blake

NON-SPECIFIC REFERENCES TO THE ENDING AHEAD!!
This was a SOLID four-and-a-half-star read for me until the very end. I found the Hallmark special-esque ending both predictable and boring. While it was very sweet and exactly the outcome I hoped for, the way it played out was not only predictable but derivative. It was so formulaic that it felt as if I knew every move the characters were going to make in the last fifty or so pages, almost as if I were watching my favorite rom-com for the umpteenth time instead of reading a new book.
This might be a selling point for some people, but it left me feeling like I'd rather skim than read. This was a huge disappointment because I found the first 7/8ths of the book so charming and immersive; it ultimately left a sour taste in my mouth.
All in all, I would recommend DGDC to anyone that wants a sappy-sweet WLW classic rom-com experience.
