The Catcher in the Rye by J.D. Salinger
5.0
I had absolutely no idea what this book was about and went into it with little expectations and it was so funny and silly I absolutely loved it.
I really miss being a teenager sometimes.
Edit:
Now that I’ve been able to let the book sink in a bit, I realise its actually pretty sad. It’s funny because of how relatable it felt, and then I realised it’s sad because Holden was constantly being abandoned and let down by the adults in the book. He showed true emotion and affection only for his younger siblings - which were also my favourite parts of the book.
