my first sally rooney book and i fell in love almost instantly. reading rooney’s writing feels like deconstructing a jigsaw to get a closer look at each piece, just to put it all back together again in the end. such a beautiful commentary on human behaviour through a group of characters who are morally-ambiguous at best, whilst not lacking humour or being overly intellectual. i couldn’t put this book down and didn’t want it to end.
