Parris (the youngest and bad boy brother) connects with his destined soulmate, Larivye/River ‘Riv’ (friend of Celeste & Ambrosia). Both are propelled by obligations, but she still demands romance. It was kind of underwhelming–fucking and tattoos. Riv’s background story made me feel like I missed a few chapters, and the conclusion had me scratching my head. The plot wasn’t spicy like the first book nor as interesting as the second.
