I’m sad to say that I didn’t enjoy this book. The only part I liked was the very end. The book was bogged down by the number of characters and plotlines. This was so over the top and ridiculous; the amount of sneaking around and lying had me stressed out while at the same time knowing that Finlay was not going to be discovered and being frustrated at how unrealistic and nonsensical that was. I found Steven very annoying, which is normal, but I also found Vero and Nick to be annoying at certain points as well. Honestly, I don’t think Nick and Finlay’s relationship is going to survive, especially after that last scene, unless in the next book he is included in the mystery and knows the truth of what’s going on in the new storyline.

Overall, I’m so disappointed. As someone who loved book 1, it’s disheartening to see how the series has gone downhill for me since then.
