Daughter of Smoke & Bone by Laini Taylor

So, I really liked this one! I was skeptical because it's nothing I would have normally picked, but Janssen was so effusive about it that I reserved it based on her enthusiasm alone. The book is really well done, and I don't mean JUST for a YA book about a romance between an angel and a devil. I mean it's really well done as a book. The characters are deep and round, and the plot is so interesting and inventive. I have a Fight Club-esque inclination to read it again right now that I know the whole premise. I will probably re-read it before the second book is released this fall, though, so I will refrain. It should be noted, though, that I felt silly reading it in front of adults, who looked at me like I was an idiot. WHATEVER. It's a good book! You should definitely try it.
