What was that? Me after I read the first few pages. I couldn’t believe what I had just read, and I knew I was in for a wild ride!

Ruby is not a sociopath, but she has killed several people and feels no remorse. Ruby is an animal loving therapist with a thriving practice in Miami. Ruby is married to Jason, who ends up dead in bed shortly after they are wed. Jason did have diabetes, but the police are hesitant to just chalk this up to an accidental natural death due to Ruby’s malicious mother in law. While Ruby isn’t innocent, she did not kill her husband. Will this be the death that takes her down and ends her killing all together?

After the initial shock of the first few pages I really got into this story. It was different enough from the other thrillers I’ve read recently and it held my interest. I couldn’t wait to find out what was going to happen next, and ultimately to find out if Ruby would get convicted of Jason’s death. I gave this 4/5 stars and recommend to those who was a fast and engaging thriller.
