I’ve had this book on my TBR for years and I was so excited to finally read it - it did not disappoint! Although it was very different from what I was expecting, I still absolutely loved it. There weren’t as many mixed media elements as I imagined there would be but the ones that were there were amazing and added a whole extra layer to the story. It took a lot of effort to read but I don’t mean this in a negative way - I had to be completely absorbed by the world of Cordova and I loved that. The dynamics between Scott, Nora and Hopper were interesting and they were all strong individual characters. Even the characters we only saw for a few pages were well written. The plot was kind of crazy. It was weird, creepy and so mysterious that I never felt like I knew what would happen next.  I loved the part where Scott was in The Peak.  The ending at first made me go “huh?”  but once I sat with it I understood why the author did it. Overall, this book almost felt like a fever dream and I don’t know what was actually real but I truly loved it. It was worth the 4 days and 600 pages.
