This was sexy, and fast paced and short. It was a very easy read. I love Cambric Creek and CM Nacosta is a one click buy for me every time.
I liked that Cambric Creek was sort of in the background of this book though. This was a little grittier than the usual Cambric Creek novels (obviously because it's the After Darkverse) But I really thought it was a good change of pace, Jude had gone THROUGH IT. And I liked the way her relationship with Lux played out. It was a little angsty and a lot darker than normal. But it was fun to read the non-cambric creek parts of this world.
I also love Jack Hemming so there's that.
