Oh my word I love Patrick and Lola! He is such a sucker for her and it is adorable. She is slower to realize but falls HARD when she does. This is such a good friends to lovers story. Best friends for 24 years before anything happens. Some of Patrick's internal monologues and soliloquies waxed poetic a bit but really just showed how gone he is. Overall, I think the author's books get better with each one and this is definitely one of my faves by her. The amount of story we get from both POVs was wonderful! I'd just read a few books in a row where it felt like not a lot happened until the end so it was a nice change to have so much happen all throughout. Also, Patrick quoted A Walk to Remember at one point. He really didn't need to gain any more points in my estimation and then that happened. Chef's kiss!
