I haven’t had much luck when it comes to period romances, but this one was a lot of fun! I thought I wasn’t going to like the second chance trope, however it’s hard not to fall in love with Evander. I love the mix of glamour within the balls and the courting between Aphrodite and Evander, but also the drama and action that ensues when it comes to Fitzwilliam. There were multiple moments when I had gasped out loud. Overall, this is the kind of period romance I would want to see more of!
