This book turned out to be better than I initially thought it to be.
I'm not a major fan of soccer so I had my doubts whether I'd like that or not, but I bought because it's a gay romance. However, it turned out better than I expected!
The romance plot line was so well interwoven with the other plot lines that were taking part.
Seeing all these characters with their own struggles and especially seeing Spencer who faces all these transphobia and homphobia in rural America was giving me so much insight in all of these struggles I couldn't really understand before. I am so thankful for getting that insight!
However, I found this book was sometimes lacking consistency in plot and pacing and some characters could have been more fleshed out.
