If I were rating this book purely on the spicy scenes, it would be a solid 4.5. But I also read all the pages in between. I think Bram was the most complex ML in this series of books so far (and my favorite in terms of design), but there were not enough pages for him to believably overcome his trauma like he did. Grace was an interesting FL with baggage of her own, but she didn't feel as compelling as Bram. I think if there was an extra 50-100 pages of development for both of them, this would have been a much stronger story.
The best part was the smut, which I guess is the most important aspect. I always appreciate how much the author emphasizes consent and the importance of mental health.
