This book was incredible, and it was the sort of book I knew I was going to love. I've been thinking about it for days since I read it, such a profound and thought-provoking story. For example, the end of the third journal really stuck with me, that he felt rejected from society, and therefore, no longer felt to be human. So, social rejection = dehumanization :(. But even despite the narrator's feelings of this, he was evidently cared about by quite a few people - which goes to show how unreliable we can be towards ourselves.
Additionally, I found the emphasis on 'if pure trustfulness is a sin' to be an interesting point, and when he asks his friend Horiki what the opposite of crime is.
Overall, I know this book will stick with me for a long time.
