Messy and not in an entertaining way. MMC’s girlfriend cheated on him with FMC who is a lesbian. He becomes obsessed with FMC and rather than tell her the truth, he manipulates and gaslights her to “protect her” from the ex girlfriend. Could not move forward knowing that the FMC is very admittedly a lesbian, not bi, not curious and this becomes a marriage of convenience turned love story. I’ve always admired Ashley Jade’s ability to craft multi-dimensional characters with unhealthy defense mechanisms that you want to route for because at their core they’re good,  beautiful people, but I just could not with this one.
