Welcome To The Family by Caroline F. Levy

4.0

I read Book 2 and then simply had to go back, read Book 1 and see how it all began. I’m immediately drawn into this world and find myself wanting to stay there. When I step away from the book, I miss it and so I end up reading it all in just a few hours, putting my life on hold until I know what becomes of Angel’s.

Angel is a very strong character and I’m immediately finding myself relating and sympathizing with her – as well as wanting to know all about all that she has going on. I feel real anger at Shaun for being kind of a deadbeat, controlling, etc. and intrigue as she finds her way through her new world.

The book is overall well spoken though the tense changes constantly from present to past – once I got used to this style I was more easily able to submerge myself into the book and could come to appreciate the various situations. Could use a pass through by a proofreader for typos amongst punctuation and spelling but – the book is still easily followed.

I’ll be on the edge of my seat waiting for more of this saga.
