If We Survive by Rianne Elizabeth
4.0
"If we survive.."
I don't even know what to say..
I am just baffled by how this book played out.
This book hurt in the best of ways.
Who goes on a date and then gets kidnapped? Honestly I thought this was going to go a totally different way and I absolutely loved the outcome.
Eden & Kai are endgame, period.
These two are the rocks for each other and they didn't even know it. Being physically strangers, you would think that things would be weird or just strange since they do not know each other all that way in the physical sense but it's like something clicked and it just made sense.
Eden is the most sweetest damn guy but also he is strength. He is the support that Kai needs but also Emiliya while in that warehouse.
Kai is honestly the humor for this book but also the hurt. Getting his past hurt my heart so much and then that one moment where he debates, that killed me. To wonder that alone but then to think of someone else is the roughest thing someone can go through.
This book was a journey of hurt, sadness, anger and most of all survival and love.
You cant hurt without sadness and there is always some anger in sadness in some way and what Eden & Kai go through in the present is what binds them together forever but what Kai has endured in the past is what hurts the heart and also solidifies Edens place at his side when Kai reveals the past.
For a debut this was Heartbreakingly fantastic in the best of ways.
Rianne knows how to write to capture you from the beginning and I cannot wait to see what comes from her next.
