Pieces of You by N.R. Walker
5.0
Book safety, content warnings, and tropes down below.
“[…]I don’t know you the same as you know me, but my heart does. This is the only memory I can feel.” He looked at me with tears in his eyes. “My heart remembers you.”
I cried a small lake while listening to this audiobook. It was surprisingly low angst, but man was it sad. It’s a rough story, but you can always trust N. R. Walker to do it well and get it right. The characters are absolutely beautiful and I just want them to be healthy and happy. They’re on their way there, but I’m going to have to start book 2 as soon as possible. A great friend said the three books read more like one continuous story.
I very much loved this. Excited for the next one.

“We’ll get back to that. You fell in love with me once, what’s to say you can’t love me twice?”
He closed his eyes and leaned into me, letting himself be held. And even though we’d kissed thousands of times, this was our first. Our very first kiss all over again.
