This was a random library borrow for me because it had no wait. It is very slow-paced and there is more ‘telling’ than I’d prefer but, so it could be a bit dull. I did finish it but I wouldn’t call it exciting by any means. It was sort-of/almost intriguing enough to keep going, so there’s that.

Highly predictable, and more ‘telling’ than ‘showing’ so it fell a bit flatter than it probably should have for all that happened here.

I think this will be my last from this author as their style just seems to bore me.
