Some time ago I had watched the Lockwood and co. series on Netflix and I was really bothered by how unclear and confusing the world building was. I wasn't shocked by any of the plot twists since the series is pretty much the same as the book (also the casting for Lockwood is absolutely perfect imo) but I had fun. I'd recommend if you watched the series but didn't understand it fully
