Are the emotions in the room with us right now or am I just heartless? For the amount of love this book gets, I just don't seem to get what about it is so impressive and makes people tear up. Yes the stories are sweet but they didn't feel that deep to me. I thought the rules of the magic were also kind of silly and offered more complications to the story instead of providing an intriguing setting. But what ruined my experience of the book most of all was the writing. It was clunky and awkward, probably due to poor translation. I won't be continuing this series.
