I remember reading part of Shaman King as a kid, as well as seeing some of the anime on TV (until it just became reruns of the same few episodes, without ever going further), and I remember liking it. What I don't remember is the art style looking like this. I think it might be that the style of the manga and the style of the anime sort of merged in my head?
Anyway, I still like it at this point, however one panel is very much not okay. There's one panel, while Manta is looking up what a shaman is, where there are drawn two black characters... and they look like two old timey caricatures. Like minstrel show type of depiction. So that's ew.
